What is Allocated seating?

Allocated seating allows you to create your venue in CompassTix so ticket buyer can choose their own seats! If you're organising an event that's using allocated seating you can create a custom venue within CompassTix - for no extra cost!
 
Perfect for graduation dinners and school performances such as musicals, recitals and plays.

Details

Begin creating an event as normal by filling in the basic details section, then:

  1. In 'step 2 - sessions', select the 'allocated seating' checkbox
  2. Select 'create sessions'

This will open up the 'session details' tab of allocated seating. Fill in the title, date and location of your session and select 'save session'.

Sections

Sections allow us to add our seated areas.

  1. Select 'create a section'
  2. Add a section name - This will help ticket buyers identify where their seats are Eg. Left Wing
  3. Specify the number of rows and seats per row - this will automatically update on the right so you can see what you're creating
  4. Select 'add section'
Repeat this for other sections, you can click and drag new sections around to match your floor plan

Tickets

  1. Add a ticket title - E.g. general admission, student, staff, VIP, early bird
  2. Specify the price
  3. Add a description - under 'show more' on a ticket. Perfect form extra information about what the ticket includes, arrival time etc.
  4. Ticket status - either hidden or active. Most tickets will be active unless you would like your ticket not to be visible for individual sale and only appear in a package.
  5. Ticket sale date -The dates tickets are available for sale. Can be used to sell 'Early bird' tickets or cut off sales the day before your event.
